Chris Ruppel

Frontend Engineer

Any living cell carries with it the experience of a billion years of experimentation by its ancestors
Max Delbrueck, Physicist / Biologist

Chris Ruppel lives and breathes all things frontend. He lives to make sites load fast and loves moving the web forward. A visual thinker with technical roots, Chris is often found excitedly parsing the latest CSS module that was published on dev.w3.org, looking for fun toys that will crash his browser.

Active in many open source communities, Chris maintains the CSS3 Playground, presents on CSS 3D Transforms, created the latest Modernizr Drupal module, and is a past contributor to both the D8 Mobile Initiative and the Drupal.org D7 upgrade. Chris was also involved with the local Austin community for many years, helping organize the Austin Drupal User Group.

A native Texan, Chris recently transplanted to the beautiful town of Freiburg im Breisgau, Deutschland to live with his wonderful girlfriend Karin. He spends his free time hiking, biking, eating brötchen, and mispronouncing German words.
