Kristin Hillery

During my time as an undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin, I worked on the Texas Travesty, which at the time was the largest humor publication in the country. Starting off as a staff writer my freshman year, I also worked as the Advertising Director and Managing Editor before becoming Editor-in-Chief my senior year. While I was on staff at the Travesty, the publication won three “Best of Austin” awards from the Austin Chronicle (two of the three were back-to-back “Best Local Publication” awards), was featured in V magazine as one of the most outstanding college humor publications in the nation.

As graduation neared, I realized that I’d no longer be able to work on the Travesty and would have to enter the Real World. “But why can’t we all continue to do creative things and have fun and do what we love?” I thought. Turns out my friends were thinking the same thing. So we started Four Kitchen Studios.

I have years of experience writing and editing. My work has been published in the Texas Travesty, the Austin Chronicle, the Austin Student, and That Other Paper.

Another passion of mine is photography. I take photographs for That Other Paper and also love to shoot weddings and events.
