Heather has been developing websites since the late 1990s and is a longtime Drupal enthusiast. During her time s a Technical Strategist at Four Kitchens, she was responsible for understanding the technology stack as well as big-picture goals, in order to plan and execute projects that empower people to do their best work.
Heather honed her analytical and communication skills while earning a Ph.D. in English literature at UCLA, where she also worked as a web developer, instructional technology consultant, and accessibility consultant. She then spent nine years at the University of Washington, where she established a successful program building and supporting websites for departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. She strives to build sites that are as intuitive for content editors as they are for end users.
This passion for making technology enjoyable extends to her work with the Seattle Drupal Users’ Group, which she currently co-leads. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Heather has a deep appreciation for good tacos and the wonderful world of Disneyland. She also loves spending time outdoors, hiking through national parks, and gathering around board games with family and friends.
