As the only child of a graphic design mother and law enforcement father, Shanice learned early on that good things come to those who work hard for them and not to take other people’s time for granted — all while having a little creative fun along the way! This has since evolved into her own work philosophy: Be kind, make mistakes, stay learning, continue to grow, but always be human.
Shanice’s journey into project management began in the world of traditional advertising, where she began her professional career as an account executive. During that time, she found a knack for managing multifaceted projects and began learning the ropes from the ground up. During her tenure in the ed tech industry, she continued to develop a passion for sinking her teeth into projects and building synergy among teams. Alongside her project management duties, Shanice is passionate about expanding Four Kitchens’ DEI efforts and fostering a culture of advocates and allies.
After brief spells in Baltimore and Brooklyn, Shanice is happy to be back in South Florida with her cats, one of which is an 18-pound ginger furball named Sophie. A connoisseur of good cuisine, she enjoys discovering and exploring new restaurants. She also dabbles in hot yoga, loves to travel and visits local art exhibits when available.
